However the second and most common cause of neck pain is poor posture and muscular imbalances causing muscle and ligament strain, degeneration of joints and subsequent pain.

  • Exercises and movements that relieve the pain and address muscle imbalances
  • Electrotherapy such as ultrasound, interferential, TENS or heat

  • Education about how your pain is created, what to do to ease your pain at home, sport and work, with an emphasis on prevention of further recurrences. Our physiotherapists can also assess your workstation or work area and make recommendations for appropriate equipment or modifications.
  • Pilates and or exercises to improve core stability particularly in the shoulder blade area
  • Postural advice and body awareness in order to avoid further strain and aggravations
  • Recommending suitable supports, pillows or aids to improve your posture and help relieve you pain.
